The Society for Venturism helps cryonicists with support and advocacy, offers members "Do Not Autopsy Cards", and also provides a Cryonics Charity Fund:
Information on how to obtain a "Do Not Autopsy Card":
Many cryonicists wish to avoid autopsy as it greatly reduces their chances for an optimal profusion and protection of their brain. Having an autopsy is strongly against the beliefs of the Society for Venturism and many members choose to carry a card stating their strong objection to autopsy.
The card identical on both sides and is made with your photo as it is better for identification in an emergency situation. Individual cards will not be published and will remain confidential unless the Member chooses otherwise.
Members are asked to contact us if they would like a card, we do them for a suggested donation of $20.00 to cover the costs
http://venturist.info/donate.html but we offer sliding scale. This is however fully covered with your annual membership if you are a full member. Donate more if you can, to help provide for those who can not afford to cover the materials and creation costs. All of this can be done by email, through this yahoo group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Venturists/join . If you would like a card please join the group (it is an open group and can be accessed from any email server) and send an email with the following included:
1. The details of which cryonics organizations you are signed with. Currently recognized cryonics organizations are: Alcor, American Cryonics Society, Cryonics Institute and KrioRus, special cases if any handled on case-by-case basis.
2. The email with receipt of your donation to cover the costs.
3. A face shot/passport type photo suitable for ID in .JPG form if you have it, but we can work with other common formats.
4. A facsimile signature. This can be accomplished by scanning your signature and attaching the PDF.
5. A brief affirmation of your acceptance of the Venturist principles (a) To try to do what is right & (b) To advocate and promote the worldwide conquest of death through technological means. (further description at the Philosophy & Theology and the Information pages). This need only be a sentence or two, or you may write more if you wish. If you wish to write at some length please indicate whether or not your piece can be published on-line; all writings are otherwise confidential.
6. Your physical address so the card can be mailed to you.
Please note that the photo, your contact information, your signature, your statement and all details sent to the Venturists are required for our recordkeeping and will not be shared with any organization or made public without your consent or if ordered by a court of law. Also, we can not issue cards without the 6 above specified requirements.
